Quebec City Canada

21 September

Dear Travelers,

Before I go home in the Philippines on the 22nd we are going to spend some time in Quebec City. It is the walled city perched above the St. Lawrence River on rocky Cap Diamant. Dominated by the venerable castle-like hotel Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, Old Quebec is the heart and soul of this resolutly French-Canadian city. Founded just over 400years ago by Samuel de Champlain, historic Quebec is the only remaining walled city in America north of Mexico; it became a World Heritage Site in 1985.

Make your way up to Terrasse Dufferin, the boardwalk promenade overlooking the St. Lawrence. Stroll the cobblestone streets, past quaint old houses and chic boutiques. Pause for coffee or an aperitiff at one of the inviting outdoor cafe's catching the weakening rays of the autumn sun.

See you there..

Rinell :-)
