Lahaina, Maui Hawaii USA

Hello Travellers,

From May 31- Jun 02 we are going to Lahaina, Maui Hawaii! Once the capital of Royal Hawaii and a wild whaler's village, Lahaina has done a remarkable job of retaining its historic past despite the waves of tourists who come ashore each day.

Follow the Lahaina Historic Trail for a look at the restored U.S. Seamen's Hospital, the Pioneer Inn and the old prison, each part of a large district listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As you wander through the numerous art galleries, restaurants and shops, pause beneath the iconic Banyan tree, planted in 1873.

See you there...

Honolulu, Hawaii, USA

Let's travel to Honolulu Hawaii

Dear Travelers,

We will explore this beautiful island of Honolulu Hawaii from 26-28 May 2012.

Honolulu conjures many familiar images, even for first-time visitors (that would be me) - Diamond Head's dramatic profile; fragrant leis and Aloha shirts; somber Pearl Harbor; the landmark Aloha Tower; bronzed bodies lounging on Waikiki; umbrella-topped rum drinks in authentic Tiki bars... Yes, the beachside luaus and hula dancers can seem a bit touristy, but the "Aloha Spirit" still manages to transcend all if you let it.

See you there...

Tahanea Atoll

These neighboring atolls are both uninhabited, and the perfect place for exploration. Above the waves we may discover pristine beaches or Zodiacs may whisk us into the lagoons on a voyage in search of the endemic Tuamotu Sandpiper and other wildlife unique to this area. The Tuamotus have only 57 species of birds, but ten of these are endemic, 13 are endangered and one is extinct. In true expedition style, our activities here will depend on sea conditions, especially for an afternoon of watersports, while snorkelers and divers immerse themselves in the underwater realm.

Made in Tahiti

Welcome to Tahiti travellers! As I explore the beautiful islands of French Polynesia we are going to talk about the Tahitians products.

The Tahitians of the modern era maintain their heritage and traditions of their Maohi ancestors. the skills of the ancestor's artistry are kept sacred and passed on by both the "mamas" the guardians of tradition and the matriarchs of Tahitian society, as well as by skilled craftsmen.

Discover the treasure chest of products created by the hands of Tahitian craftspeople working with wood, stone, plants, and cloth along Mo'orea's coastal road. Many of the best dealers of the famous Tahitian (black) pearl have outlet stores here.

As in the rest of French Polynesia, souvenir options include hand painted pareus, hue papaa wood carvings, a variety of vanilla products and other local specialities such as Monoi oils which are natural skin products created from the oils of tree fruits and fragrances, extracted from the Tiare flower.

Handicrafts such as: intricate carvings of stone; wooden drums, bowls, platters, and sculptures carved from precious native woods; and elaborate hats, purses, and mats woven from coconut and pandanus leaves.

Original paintings of the island, the over-water bungalows, and of course its people, created by Tahitian and French resident artists, can be found throughout the islands at local stores, in markets, and at the artisan studios.

Mo'orea, French Polynesia

Hello travellers I would like to bring you in the "Garden Island" of Mo'orea it owes unique geography and exceptional beauty to a calamitous volcanic eruption eons ago, leaving the jagged peaks and heart-shaped isle before you today. Add in miles of sugary white beaches, tranquil lagoons, a slice of sweet pineapple fresh from the field and a hammock strung between two obliging palms and you're good to go. And if you simply must move about, hiking, horseback riding and a range of water sports are easily arranged.

See you there..
